Camellias by Tage Andersen at Drottningholm Palace Theatre, Stockholm

Yesterday I visited Drottningholm Palace Theatre for this magnificent
exhibition arranged by Danish superstar florist Tage Andersen.
The camellias were breathtaking just look at the perfection!
Such colours, such softness... I love the contrasting dark foliage,
it makes them even more dramatic.
No wonder Monsieur Dumas wrote about The Lady of Camellias...

Once in a while I visit Ulriksdals Slottsträdgård to be inspired and buy fresh cut flowers. These photos were taken a month before Christmas, just look at the amazing arrangements they make! I can highly recommend their café as well - vegetarian buffet, great soup and lots of delicious pastry...

SketchBook Mobile...

A couple of months ago I read about an app that seemed really interesting - a free sketch book for mobiles! Being a former illustrator who hasn't used her pen for a long time this seemed like a good way to start sketching again - and I LOVE IT! As i always have my iPhone with me I also always have a sketch book with different pens, pencils, watercolors... you name it - all built in! The first time I tried the app was at a fair listening to an inspiring lecture by Jimmy Schönning. You'll find the portrait I made on his blog: http://jimmyschonning.blogspot.com/2011/10/as-i-came-to-fogia-today-for-meeting-i.html I didn't master the technique at the time but I'm glad he likes it.
You should try it out!
